One of the biggest nights in Canadian music is just around the corner, and some of our favourite artists are definitely feeling the love. The 50th annual Juno Awards just released the nominees for the 2021 show, and as always, it looks to be a star-studded night of recognizing Canadian talent.
Although noticeably absent from this year’s Grammy Award nominations, The Weeknd led the pack with six Juno nominations. The Toronto artist already has 10 Juno awards to his name – fresh off an album that took the world and the Super Bowl Halftime stage by storm, he could very well be adding to his collection.
Jessie Reyez follows closely with five nominations. She hasn’t left a Juno Awards ceremony empty handed since her first win in 2018, when she won the award for Breakthrough Artist. Since then, she’s released her debut studio album, Before Love Came To Kill Us, and collaborated on some great songs with other incredible artists.
You can find the full list of nominees here. The ceremony will air on May 16th at here.
